School holidays are nearly behind us — hopefully all the parents and grandparents have survived the change of routine and are enjoying the final stretch! 😅
And dare I say it… Christmas is on the countdown (just 77 days to go! 🥳)! 🎄 It’s hard to believe, but summer is on the way, the days are getting longer, and those beautiful blue-sky days are starting to appear. There’s just something about a bit of sunshine that’s good for the soul! ☀️
Westlake's Matt Fleming has been playing some incredible rugby for New Zealand Secondary Schools. It’s fantastic to see him representing Westlake and wearing the silver fern — there’s a very bright future ahead for this young man. 🏉
And what a result for the Westlake Premier Basketball team! 🏀 National Champions after an incredible 92–80 win over Auckland Grammar in a tough final down in Palmy. Their first national title since 2013 — massive congratulations, boys! What an achievement! To top it off, Harper Wilson — also a Westlake First XV player — was named MVP of the tournament. Incredible stuff! 👏🏆 Swans up! 🦢
🏉As for the All Blacks… it’s time to bounce back! The Aussies are coming to Eden Park this weekend, and we’ll be right behind the boys in black. Expect a packed house and plenty of noise — let’s get behind them and get the job done! 🖤Come on, boys! Let’s do this!
🎳Business House Bowls is almost here, kicking off Thursday 15 October — and it’s honestly one of my favourite nights! Last chance to get your team together; get in touch with Charlie at Milford Bowling Club. It’s a great excuse to get out, have a laugh and socialise with work colleagues, friends or family. As always, Charlie and the crew at Milford Bowling Club know how to look after everyone and make sure it’s a great night. I’m looking forward to it — can’t wait to get back out on that green!✨
